What’s up you ask? Well, I should report that I haven’t been on a super-secret-mission yet after I passed the exam last week. As you can imagine I am eager to flash my badge; you know, the one with Therapy Animal on it! I practiced flashing it many times already. I think I am fluent now so I got all my ducks in a row [as you can witness here; and yes, I now have two Duckys!].
So the waiting is on mom to finish her part. At least she passed the criminal check (Sooo glad to know that I am not living with a criminal; after all moving is not my favorite hobby) and she finished the medical screening and paperwork. Now, all that is left are the shadow visits. I can’t go with her then, so I have to trust that she will be alright without me. Since there are no treats in sight and dinner is still far out, I think I will catch up on my sleep for now. Maybe you should do the same.
Happy dreams,
Benji
I didn’t realize how involved the therapy animal process is. I’m glad your human isn’t a criminal, too, because i enjoy her blog a lot. Of course, I guess she could continue it from jail, only it would be a bit sad, don’t you think, without a good doggy or two?

I have to confess, my human mom does have to go to jail once in a while… She can tell you more about it, maybe she should in another post. The short story is that she sometimes has to go there to pick up a CCI pup that is raised by an inmate and needs to be socialized in the real world too 🙂

Cool! I’ve heard about such programs, and approve highly of them, both for the dogs and the inmates! A very positive use of inmate time, and a very positive outcome for the dogs, too!

And the great part is that when she comes back, I get to socialize with them too. I always learn a ton of good stuff.

Lucky you! Of course, just getting taken home by her when you were a pup was like winning the doggy lotto!

Thanks, I am certainly very happy here. There are lots of pets who still need a home. We wished we could help them all.

Me, too. I hope that we help raise awareness through our blogs, but action counts. I give you tons of hosannas for what you do and are doing for animals in your area!

My neighbor trains her Mastiffs as therapy dogs and I know it is a lot of work. Good for your mom for doing what she is!! ❤

I will tell her! We both like to do it, so the hard work is fun too.

Oh, Benji, I do all the time. I so admire this woman. She specifically works with children who have cancer. I don’t know how she does it. I couldn’t. ❤
