I tried to tell M that the sprinkler bath (see Cool Hot Summer Fun 3A and B) wasn’t such a good idea. The day after we had living proof. The upper Dogs were so upset that it started raining cats and dogs. At least we were able to get home from the veterinarian’s office without floating away fur-ever.
The vet visit went fine, thanks for asking. We only needed some routine injections; no big deal. Although I did get the new H3N2 Dog Flu vaccine because I’m out and about so much. For more information on the virus, check this NPR link. And if you’re afraid that us animals can make you sick, no worries just look at this NY Times article. They report that animals help improve your immune system. Isn’t that great?!
At home, Ms. Zulu and I watched the rain and thunder for a bit and then decided to just crawl back in bed and sleep for a long, long time.
Some days it’s better to just go back to bed and dream about playing in the field,
Benji

Glad the rain and vet trip is in the rear view mirror. Canine-grats on the good health visit. We have heard stories about the dog flu–scary stuff. Let’s hope it’s nothing like the Chicago outbreak was last year!

We will have to keep all digits crossed. Thanks!

We did read about that flu in Florida. I guess if you go to the park or lots of open areas it is best to be safe. We tend to stay in and sleep a lot. But we can’t sleep if there is thunder.

Ms Zulu doesn’t like it either. I don’t mind as long as I don’t have to go outside. Benji

We’re glad you’re both doing fine, Benji. We have rain…and storm too, after a heatwave. I don’t like storms, they are scary… Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂 ❤

And we have temperatures in the 80’s ahead here. I’m staying inside as much as possible!

We past the 80s a while back and are mostly in the 90s now. At first it seems hot and then you get used to it. The humidity is the worst.

I remember Charleston, SC in May, and I understood why citizens left the city for cooling places in the days before air conditioning. Whew! This High Plainsman about collapsed in that humidity and temperatures in the 90s.

We would have been long gone if we didn’t have air conditioning. Can’t imagine living without one. We are spoiled.
