Hope you had a nice Christmas Eve. I’m already dealing a bit with the post-Christmas blues and we still have one more day to go. No, this has nothing to do with extra yummies in my tummy. Earlier this month, my doctor told me that I can gain two more pounds before I will hit the explosion threshold. He pronounced this while feeding me yummy treats…Β He said he wanted me to show him my Superdog tricks (P.S. don’t tell him that I can do them without) but I think he was testing his explosion theory. The treats just kept coming. Anyhowl, I think that my explosion threshold is way higher than two pounds. I should know. After all, who is the real Dogtor here?!Β
You can do it, just one more day: in-out-in-out and let the belly expand,
Benji
He is such a beautiful dog, Anarette! It is good to see him.

Dear The Mom, sorry to hear. I went outside and got some wind in my ears, that helped. Merry Christmas to you too. Benji

Dougy is svelt but Andy feels like he might be at explosion point for eating too many treats. Dr. Dave didn’t say he was too heavy at 9.4 pounds, which actually seems OK to me, too, It’s pretty much where he has been all his adult life! Dougy is 10.5 pounds, thanks to a stockier build. This weight business camn be tricky! You (Benji) look just right in your photos!

9.4 that’s nothing! He could ride on my back, WOL. I agree weight business can be tricky. Next time at the vet I will suck in my belly. Benji

Andy has a more slender build than his brother, and 9.4 pounds looks heavier on him than Dougy’s heavieer weight on his classic short stocky Persian body.

As long as the kitties are agile they should be good. I just go running if I feel too heavy. Benji

The kitty boys love to run! Persian kitties tend to be meatloaves, but when they run, they hop over furniture, climb blinds, and do all sorts of things at high speed.

Haha, Benji has his crazy moments once a day where he just has to run, run, run, run. He can fortunately do it outside so he has lots of space π .

In my apartment, a Benji-sized dog would be a disaster! LOL!

I’d hope he and the kitty boys became best buddies at least!

Benji is good with the kitties at the vet.

And my kitties seem unconcerned about dogs, even those really friendly ones that rush their carrier. They’ve never hissed at them or swiped at curious noses. I do think they’d defend themselves if a a dog invaded their space too much, though. They aren’t around them for the most part.

π Hopefully will get back to the pool in the next few days. That’s about as close as I can come to sailing.
